What’s actually happening tonight?

So last night we saw the first round of this year’s draft completed, with 20 picks locked in. Tonight is the rest of the draft, from the second round onwards. We are expecting there will be somwhere around 60-65 picks in this draft in total, so that means about another 40 players will start their AFL careers tonight.

Fremantle currently has the first pick tonight, but there will be offers coming in from other clubs to trade for that selection given the quality left on the board. One option is WA midfielder Matt Johnson, whose slide out of the first round was the shock of the night. It would take a significant offer for the Dockers to consider moving back with Johnson still on offer.
